Jakarta, August 7, 2025 — PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System (RITS), the business entity responsible for operating cashless, contactless, and barrier-free toll payment system MLFF (Multi Lane Free Flow) based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) digital technology, has successfully completed a comprehensive cyber readiness assessment with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN). This achievement marks a significant milestone in advancing digital transformation in the toll road sector, with PT RITS reinforcing its position by establishing a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) as a tangible demonstration of its commitment to cybersecurity.
The assessment was conducted under a national framework aligned with ISACA best practices, including the Risk IT Framework and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) standards. The process aimed to ensure organizational readiness in facing increasingly complex cyber threats, especially in the Operational Technology (OT) environment used in the barrier-free toll road system.
"We at PT RITS are proud of this recognition from BSSN. It proves that PT RITS has met national standards for cybersecurity readiness, even before the public launch of the MLFF technology," said Attila Keszeg, President Director of PT RITS, during the appreciation ceremony for the issuance of the national CSIRT Registration Certificate and plaque by the BSSN team, held on July 25, 2025, at the PT RITS Control Room, Sudirman, Jakarta.
In this assessment, PT RITS was declared to meet the criteria in several critical aspects:
- Risk Management: Evaluation of cyber threats with potential physical impacts on toll road infrastructure, along with mitigation readiness based on the Risk IT framework.
- CSIRT Services: PT RITS has mapped out services for Cybersecurity Alert, Incident Triage, Cyber Incident Coordination, and Cyber Incident Handling.
- Operational Readiness: Readiness to respond to incidents, from triage and system isolation to operational recovery.
The CSIRT team formed by PT RITS will play a strategic role in anticipating and managing cyber incidents swiftly, effectively, and in a coordinated manner. All CSIRT activities and incident handling updates can be accessed via the official website: https://www.roatex.co.id/en/csirt or by email: csirt@roatex.co.id
Through this initiative, PT RITS not only focuses on MLFF technology but also demonstrates a strong commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s digital resilience and sovereignty. By embedding cybersecurity as a fundamental component in the development, design, and management of infrastructure, PT RITS ensures maximum protection for the public.
